A word of welcome

Dear student! It is so good to see you participating in the Autumn School program of Saxion University of Applied Sciences and the Lomonosov Moscow State University Business School. A mouthful of important words; words that you will most likely remember for the rest of your life. An experience becomes even more intense when you add international flavor. A trip to Moscow, the capital of the Russian Federation, its metropolitan area housing almost as many inhabitants as the Netherlands in total, is an adventure not likely forgotten. The work of the Netherlands Education Support Office, part of Dutch governmental organization Nuffic, consists of increasing education collaboration between Russia and the Netherlands. This project you are taking part in, is exactly what we like to see. These initiatives are very important to increase not only your knowledge of theory and practice of business education, economics, enterprises, but also to increase awareness of cultural differences ánd similarities. I am very glad to see the Autumn Business School returning to Moscow every year, increasing in size and working with innovative companies ready to conquer the world. As a participant I urge you to look at your fellow international students with an open look, don’t be judgmental, try to set aside your prejudices. Instead, share experiences, enjoy and investigate a completely different world, which might be more similar than you think. Have a great multi-learning experience!
